Anne is now accepting dogs on a very limited basis for boarding and training. Training services are offered on a board-train basis or by private lesson. We are particularly interested in helping owners of conformation show Goldens discover if their dog has the working abilities that should be inherent in the breed. We can also help if you must be out of town for an extended period of time and want your dog to maintain its working skills while being boarded.
Boarding -- Boarding dogs enjoy hours of playtime in the fenced grass play yards, swimming, and sleep inside the house at night. We can accomodate special diets (including raw) or most special medical needs. Short-term and long-term boarding available. Make your reservations early, especially in the summer and for holidays. We take only a limited number of dogs and those slots fill up 4-6 weeks in advance during busy times.
Household Obedience -- Board-train basis only. Your dog will stay and board here for 3-4 weeks while he/she learns basic obedience commands and household manners. Lessons are kept short and focused, and given twice a day. Training will be tailored to address your dog's specific problems.
Competition Obedience training -- Board-training or private lessons. Tailored to meet your goals and your dog's abilities.
Field/Hunt Retriever Basics -- Board-training or private lessons. Force-fetch, yard/obedience basics, and introduction to retrieving. We can help get your young retriever started reliably retrieving on command, steadied, and introduced to the basics of hunt test and hunting retrieves.
Conditioning -- Board basis only. Conditioning for show and performance dogs. Daily free-running and swimming exercise in a relaxing, stress-free environment. We will work with your dog's exercise & training regime, diet, and grooming/coat care to bring your dog into optimum physical and mental condition.
We are located west of Houston, TX. Our 6 acre property includes over 2 acres of technical training ponds, outdoor obedience and agility practice areas, fenced grass play areas, and a kennel with grooming/bathing facilities and 12 indoor/outdoor, fully roofed runs. We understand the needs of show dog coats and are willing to provide individual coat care and grooming while your show dog stays here. We feed our own dogs a raw diet, and can accommodate raw-fed boarding dogs.
Availability of services depends on time of year and our schedules, so contact us well in advance please! We accept only a few dogs at a time for boarding/training, so that each dog can receive plenty of care and attention.
